National Realty Club Blockchain Panel Series II: A Token Driven Economy
6:30 pm-8:30 pm
The Harmonie Club | 4 East 60th Street New York, NY 10022
With the benefits of greater liquidity volume, fractional ownership, and more, tokenizing assets have been adopted since 1970. It finds gradual blockchain applications in the conventional sections like real estate, stocks, debt, and art in the past few years, gaining considerable popularity since then.
Many would agree that successful tokenization accelerates the exchange of value in assets by improving cost and time efficiency in almost every traditional asset industry, while many would argue that from DeFi (Decentralized Finance) to NFT (Non-Fungible Token), tokenizing assets without a well-constructed token economy and fundamental utilities of the token is just leading us to another ‘ICO (Initial Coin Offering’) Bubble.’
What is considered successful tokenization? What are the opportunities for tokenizing assets? What could be the underlying challenges of tokenizing a new asset? National Realty Club invited leading professionals in DeFi, NFT, and Real Estate Tokenization to share their insights on the questions above on Sep 23, 2021 at New York’s famous private social club the Harmonie Club founded in 1852.
